Salman Khan and Prabhu Deva will be back for Wanted 2
From the last few weeks, the reports are high in the air that Salman Khan has rejected Boney Kapoor‘s long pending No Entry Mein Entry and Kaabil star Hrithik Roshan would most probably step into Salman’s shoes. Now it’s a fresh heard that the Tubelight actor has given his nod to another project of the same producer friend. Yes, we are talking about Wanted 2. Salman is “most definitely doing” the sequel to Wanted and teaming up with Prabhu Deva for the second time.
If reports to be believed, Salman Khan is very much excited to do Wanted 2. And why he shouldn’t be? The movie Wanted came in the year 2009 with a lots of positivity for both the actor and the director of it. The film was a huge hit and was the second highest grosser of that year after Aamir Khan‘s 3 Idiots. Prabhu Deva made his directorial debut in Hindi films with this solid hit and it proved to be a game changer for Salman Khan‘s career. After a series of many flops, Wanted came and success straightforward kissed the Tiger Zinda Hai actor’s feet.
A source close to Salman reveals, “He is very keen on Wanted 2 since the first part that released in 2009 changed his fortunes. It was his first hit after a spate of flops that prompted trade analysts to write off his career. Salman and Prabhu have been wanting to come together,” adds the source.
Well, the project of Wanted sequel was stuck in a legal imbroglio due to copyright infringement issues. And now when the courts have ruled in Boney’s favour, the makers can proceed on. Regarding this, Salman and Prabhu have already had a meeting where Salman suggested Prabhu a basic plot, and the latter would be developing it further.
If everything goes well, official confirmations is also expected to come up soon. Salman is already currently working on a much awaited sequel (Tiger Zinda Hai) and Wanted 2 will be surely an extra bonanza for Salman fans. The actor’s next release is Kabir Khan’s Tubelight, all set to lighten up this Eid, on 23rd June 2017.
