Sanjay Leela Bhansali slapped by protesters on Padmavati sets
Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was slapped today In Jaipur By the protesters on the sets of his upcoming mega venture Padmavathi. Reports from the live sources are that his hair was also pulled on the sets of his film Padmavati in Jaipur by protesters. The protesters were alleged that the film shows a much-celebrated and much-worshiped Rajput clan queen in poor light.
The protesters mob includes majority members of the Rajput Karni Sena. They had stormed the film’s sets all of a sudden, at the historic Jaigarh Fort and assaulted Sanjay Leela Bhansali and caused few considerable damages to the equipment of the film’s crew and technicians. Padmavati is a historical grand drama based on the story of Queen Padmini. The protesters alleged that the film has love scenes between Queen Padmini and Alauddin Khilji, played by actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. The Rajput Karni Sena has demanded that Sanjay Leela Bhansali to delete such scenes in the film.
“We had warned the filmmaker against presenting wrong facts. When we came to know about the shooting, we gathered there and protested,” said a leader of the protesters Narayan Singh.
