Many of us might not be aware of the fact that Salman Khan was approached for Aditya Chopra’s directorial debut film and SRK’s biggest Blockbuster ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, ‘ and he rejected it. Salman was approached the role of ‘Raj’,as it was rejected by him, the iconic character went to Shah Rukh Khan.

After playing negative characters on the silver screen, Shah Rukh was hesitant to play a romantic hero in DDLJ when Aditya Chopra approached him. But, it was Salman who had convinced him to take up the role. Salman told that the movie will leave cash registers ringing at the box-  office, SRK revealed it in a show.

2. Baazigar (Film Rejected by Salman Khan)

Salman Khan was the first choice to play the villain in Abbas-Mastan’s blockbuster, Baazigar. But the idea of playing a negative character didn’t go well with Salman, and as he rejected Baazigar, he handed over the Blockbuster and acclaims to Shah Rukh Khan. The film not only established Shah Rukh as a star but also brought him many Awards for his iconic performance.

3. Josh (Film Rejected by Salman Khan)

Salman Khan rejected another movie that was done by Shah Rukh Khan later on, and this is Josh. The character of Max Dias is something that every other actor in the film wanted to play it. Salman Khan reportedly faced date issues then and the role once again went to Shah Rukh.

Apparently, after reading the script of Ghajini, Aamir Khan himself recommended the name of Salman Khan to cast Salman Khan in Ghajini as he felt Salman would be a better fit for the role. But fate had some other thing to design and ultimately ‘Ghajini’ the top Grossing film of 2008 fell into Aamir’s lap which additionally went on to become the first ever 100 crore film.

7. Shuddhi (Film Rejected by Salman Khan)

As producer-director Karan Johar himself confessed that he had to literally beg Salman Khan to cast the latter in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, after Karan doing something like this again, Salman agreed to do another movie with Karan Johar, i.e ‘Shuddhi’. As Salman was having busy schedule, the Karan Malhotra directorial film was getting delayed day by day, so Salman suggested Karan Johar to cast Varun Dhawan, and Karan accordingly cast Varun Dhawan for ‘Shuddhi’.

Well, you may call Salman Khan a freak for his decision making, but truth is for him friends come first, not big banners, big directors or huge box office numbers. That’s the reason behind he chose to gave his dates to his near and dear ones instead of to big directors, as Salman Khan readily did David Dhawan’s ‘Partner’ rejecting ‘Chak De! India’.
