Salman Khan Acquitted in Arms Act Case from Jodhpur Court and Says ‘Thank You’ to Fans

Verdict of Arms Act Case Goes in Salman Khan’s Favour : Salman Khan Sets Free Today

A big news coming from Jodhpur Court as Bollywood superstar Salman Khan gets acquitted from the long pending Arms Act case. He had been charged under the Arms Act for keeping an unlicensed weapon and using it during an alleged deer hunt in 1998. But the Sultan actor was given the ‘benefit of doubt’ today by a court in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur, which declared him not guilty and set him free.

18th of January was the hearing date of that Arms Act Case but Salman, along with his sister Alvira Agnihotri reached Jodhpur a day before itself. Dressed in a white shirt, the Tubelight actor came to the Jodhpur court with his sister Alvira. Within minutes, he was let off. No sooner the judge announced that the evidence against him was not strong enough and the verdict went in favour of Salman Khan.

Regarding the case, Salman Khan’s lawyer had said that the actor only had air guns and there was no evidence that he was using firearms.

Over the years, Salman Khan has faced multiple cases for allegedly killing two endangered species of chinkaras and two blackbucks on the shooting location of 1998 film “Hum Saath Saath Hain“, co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu.

The actor too had to face legal troubles regarding hit-and-run case at Bombay High Court. He had been accused of rash driving, killing a homeless man and injuring a few in September 2002.

Salman Khan had earlier been acquitted by the Rajasthan High Court in two cases related to the killing of the chinkara deer. That verdict has been challenged by the state government of Rajasthan before the Supreme Court. Lower court had earlier handed the 51 year old actor jail terms of one year and five years in the two cases.

As of today’s case, Salman’s lawyer was full fledged with all the precautions in case the verdict had gone against the actor. Well, if the verdict had gone against Salman, many projects (and big films Tubelight and Tiger Zinda Hai) would have been in danger as a big amount of money is currently lodging on his head.

Millions of the actor’s fans and well wishers prayed for him and as the verdict came out, some felt relieved while some other started celebrating.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s residence ‘Galaxy Apartments‘ is crowed with fans who have reached there only to show their support for their favourite superstar.

Post verdict, the actor too leaves a thank-you note for his fans and supporters via his Twitter and Facebook ID. Here’s Salman Khan’s tweet

Thank you for all the support and good wishes
