‘RAID’: Ajay Devgn to play an Income Tax officer in his next, releasing on 20 April, 2018


Ajay Devgn’s upcoming movie RAID to start from September and to release on 20 April, 2018.

 

B-town’s most versatile actor Ajay Devgn’s next project is announced recently and yet again he is gearing up to offer something absolutely new. Well, the ‘Singham’ star will be seen playing a sharp and no-nonsense Income Tax officer in the film ‘RAID’, his next after Diwali release ‘Golmaal Again’. The action is set in Uttar Pradesh in the 1980’s, and it is going to be another periodical film for Ajay after ‘Baadshaho’. Let me tell you here ‘RAID’ is based on real life events that entells one of the most high profile income tax raids the country ever witnessed.

 

‘Pink’ and ‘Airlift’ connection with Ajay Devgn’s thriller RAID

 

Rajkumar Gupta who previously directed ‘No One Killed Jessica’ will direct ‘RAID’, while it is written by ‘Airlift’ and ‘Pink’ fame Ritesh Shah. Raj Kumar Gupta opens up, “RAID is a story that needs to be told on the big screen. I am looking forward to my collaboration with Ajay sir, Bhushanji, Kumarji and Abhishek on this film.”

 

While Bhushan Kumar says, ”Ajay Devgn is a great actor. We have produced Baadshaho and are now happy to be also producing Raid. Raid is a content driven film and we are excited to produce it.”

 

The thriller is going to go on floors in September and to release on April 20, 2018. Ajay Devgn is currently gearing up for his next September release ‘Baadshaho’ co-starring Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Ileana D’Cruz, Sanjay Mishra and Vidyut Jammwal.
