The movie Parampara was coincidentally same story as another movie Kshatriya which was released before this movie. Both the movies were multistarers but failed to create business at the box office. Sunil Dutt, Vinod Khanna and Raveena Tandon were the only actors who featured in both the movies. This is also the last film that Yash Chopra directed out of his banner Yash Raj Films.
