Post success of Bajirao Mastani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is grabbing the eyeballs for a long while. The magnum opus is to release on 17th November, 2017. Yet the fans have got to see nothing else apart from some pictures. Then again it is better late than never. And seems like the wait is going to be finally over. As the makers have announced to reveal Padmavati’s first look tomorrow, September 21, after unveiling the logo.
Padmavati first look to release on September 21
September 21 is marking the arrival of Navratri. Bhansali’s latest, Padmavati, much like him celebrates Indian culture. Therefore the director thought it is an auspicious occasion to reveal the first look of his film. SLB confirms,
“I’m happy to bring the story of the Rani Padmavati to the screen. It was a fitting date for us to launch the first look of the film and celebrate this auspicious occasion.”
After the logo and first look release, its much awaited trailer and classic songs that anyone finds in any other Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film are in do-to list. Hence Padmavati will be apparently releasing in time.
Padmavati release date postponed to February 2018?
While few days ago, the news of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s decision to postpone Padmavati release date was doing the rounds. The source went to confirm, “The makers are planning to release it in February 2018. Apart from Anushka Sharma’s Pari (February 9, 2018), no other big film slotted for February.”
Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone in the titular role Rani Padmavati, Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Rawal Ratan Singh. While Aditi Rao Hydari, Danny Denzongpa, Neerja fame Jim Sarbh and Sonu Sood are there in the casting coup.
