The biographical film is about the struggle the Indian skipper had to face when he found himself clueless – whether to follow the hopes that the family sown or to the dreams that young eyes once crafted. Dhoni’s conflict in his early age between the role of an emerging cricketer and a Railway ticket collector at Kharagpur Station was clearly highlighted. His struggle to his follow his ambition and some untold incidents, including the tragic death of Dhoni’s girlfriend Priyanka Jha which followed in personal life, and once again the way he overcame all oddities of life to turn out victorious – are the main highlights of this 195-minute biopic.

MS Dhoni : The Untold Story Review : Actor’s Performance Review

Sushant Singh Rajput plays the Indian Skipper MS Dhoni in the movie. Even before the release, Sushant Singh Rajput’s hard work and dedication for the role of Dhoni had met with much critical acclaims. Sushant used to spend as huge time as possible with Dhoni and have words with him. Even the actor practiced for 3 hours daily for 9 months on the ground where Dhoni once used to practice. From Sushant’s hair style, way of talking, waking, picking up the shots –  all seem to be perfect. When the scenes come where Sushant walks exactly as Dhoni wearing Jersey no.7 amidst people cheering in background “Dhoni….Dhoni…. Dhoni” and the final shot in the WC 2011 to give you a series of sure-shot goosebumps and turn the theatre into a stadium instead.

Anupam Kher’s strong screen presence as Pan Singh, Dhoni’s father can be strongly felt. Bhumika Chawla as Dhoni’s sister did a justice to her role. Kiara Advani and Disha Patani as Dhoni’s girlfriends bore a strong and emotional screen presence.

MS Dhoni : The Untold Story Music Reviews

Amaal Malik scores the music for MS Dhoni along with Rochak Kohli. Its first two songs ‘Besabriyaan’ and ‘Kaun Tujhe’ are already topping the chart. While ‘Besabriyaan’ by Armaan Malik will surely be one of those soothing songs you would want to sit back and sing with your eyes closed, ‘Kaun Tujhe’ by Palak Muchhal may leave some tears in your eyes if you’re or ever been in love. Other songs like ‘Phir Kabhi’ by Arijit Singh, and ‘Parwah Nahi’ by Siddharth Basrur are also fit for the situations of the movie.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story Movie Review : Dialogue and Direction Review

From Neeraj Pandey’s direction, everytime people expect something huge in stature and he rose well up to the expectations. However, the direction could have been little better but it’s nothing much to complain about. The in-field sequences were brilliantly shot as well as the dialogues written are fit for the situations, having a soft core.
