Salman Khan is really most charitable person, “A man with a golden heart”; he proved that yet again!
When your expectations turn to be fulfilled so much so that you had hardly expected that much. Well, wondering why we are saying so? So, without wasting much time, we sharing a cute beautiful real story in which Bollywood Bhaijaan Salman Khan turns out to be a real superhero.
The year was 2016, superstar Salman Khan touched the life of a five year old cancer survivor in such amusingly ways that her mother went to write an open letter to the Sultan star requesting him to wish her little daughter through any medium he could.
Her daughter Ryka Gulati, who stays in Melbourne with her parents, was diagnosed with blood cancer or Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia when she was on a trip to India in 2013. Her innocent heart since then developed a hatred towards India because she believed the sub-continent was responsible for her condition. She started hating anything related India, so much so that even mentioning India, would pinch Ryka.
However, things changed for the better with time and Ryka celebrated her first cancer free birthday on April 29. In her letter, Ryka’s mother has wrote how her child used to disliked anything related to India till she watched Salman’s blockbuster ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. The mother also mentioned how the superstar turned out to be a ‘positive reinforcement’ in her child’s life.
In her heartfelt open letter, Ryka’s mother wrote,
“I can’t express how relieved and grateful I am to see my child healthy, happy and so full of life. Last two years have been a nightmare for us but the way Ryka lights up when you are on screen, has to be seen to be believed. We were on a trip to India in December 2013 when she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). Her little mind thought that her visit to India had given her the illness. When we finally brought her home, Ryka rejected everything related to India. She did not want to hear Indian music, she disliked talking to phone to people in India, she hated Indian shows on television, did not like us watching Indian movies (till she watched Prem Ratan Dhan Payo).”
“All she wants for her fifth birthday is that you, her hero, Salman Khan wishes her ‘Happy Birthday’. You have not only been a positive reinforcement in Ryka’s life but also the reason behind Ryka accepting her Indian roots.”
However, some expectations are meant to be remained unfulfilled. So it happened with Ryka. Salman Khan did not respond at that time to the letter which her mom wrote. But the story did not end here, as a famous line by Paulo Coelho reads, “Everything will be all right in the end. So if it is not all right, it is not yet the end.”
Now 2 years later, Salman Khan finally fulfils little Ryka’s wish. Actually the “Tubelight” actor was on his Da-Bang tour to Australia. There Ryka finally got the chance to meet her “hero”. Not only the superstar met Ryka but according to her mother’s wish, standing right beside Ryka made birthday wish for her and clapped all along. In a world, where prayers of close ones remain ignored and random sobs remain unheard, Salman Khan being in the same world went to fulfil the wish of a 6 year old cancer survivor whom the actor hardly knew before.
A big thanksgiving to “Make A Wish Australia” for aiding to make this happen. They tweeted
Wish upon a star! For Ryka’s 6th birthday we took her backstage to meet huge Indian movie star @BeingSalmanKhan!
