Raju Hirani’s Dutt biopic postponed: Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai to have solo Christmas release
Rajkumar Hirani‘s Dutt biopic is one of the most awaited films of the year. Based on the controversial life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, the film is untitled till now. Ranbir Kapoor who was last seen in KJo‘s romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will essay the role of the famous 80s Bollywood superstar. In Hirani’s observation, the film is shaping quite nicely and was scheduled to release on Christmas this year. However, for now it seems like it is not going to happen.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Dutt biopic postponed to 2018
The biopic that will showcase the life of Sanjay Dutt from his early days to his release from Yerwada prison has reportedly been postponed. Sources close to the development has revealed that it will be shelved from Christmas 2017 to straight 2018. Reason behind the postpone? Reportedly the way Dutt biopic is filming, it looks like the film will not be ready on time as a lot of portion is still left to complete. The team is yet to undergo through a major shoot schedule in America. And obviously, there will be an extensive post production work right after the wrap up.
Dutt biopic to be shelved to April 2018!
We hear that the makers are now targeting the April 2018 for the release of the film. So those who are going frenzy to see Ranbir stepping into Sanjay Dutt’s shoes will have to wait till April next year. Along with the Jagga Jasoos actor, the untitled Dutt biopic stars Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala and Vicky Kaushal.

A mighty clash that was supposed to happen between Dutt biopic and Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif‘s Tiger Zinda Hai this Christmas has been averted as a result of this delay. The Ali Abbas Zafar‘s spy thriller has been on sky high buzz for a long since even before the release of first look or teaser. Moreover not to forget, the action thriller is a sequel to Ek Tha Tiger that set a number of benchmarks at Box Office and emerged as a Blockbuster and second highest grosser of that time. It’s better that such tsunami is avoided from face off knowingly or unknowingly and let Tubelight actor’s Tiger Zinda Hai enjoy a solo release during Christmas this year.
