Dangal Sunday Collection – Dangal 3 Day Total Box Office Collection

Dangal Movie Fighting Scene

Aamir Khan‘s Dangal is storming at Box Office. On the second day, Dangal collected a huge 34.82 Crore and took its 2 days domestic collection to 64.6 Crore. Amazingly, within 2 days, Dangal has already surpassed the lifetime business of big films like Kapoor & Sons (61.3 Crore), Dear Zindagi (61 Crore ), Udta Punjab (57.61 Crore) and Mohenjo Daro (56.11 Crore).

But on Sunday, Dangal is really historic at Box Office. Christmas, Sunday and excellent words of mouth drag audiences to Cinema halls. From the morning shows itself, Dangal witnessed a huge jump in occupancy, 50-65%, while in many territories it went up to even 80%. Afternoon and evening shows are mostly housefull all over. While advance booking for the evening and night shows are excellent and reports coming from the night shows are amazing.

Shows in many Dangal didn’t work well on first day or second day, but those same shows are witnessing huge responses all over on the third day. In short, Dangal’s third day collection is set to create and break many records. As early estimate suggests Dangal’s Sunday collection is 38-39 Crore which is a huge number.

And if Dangal succeeds to cross 38 Crore, then it will be 7th Bollywood film of all time to do so and Aamir’s 3rd film after PK and Dhoom 3. However, in 2016 only Sultan could collect more than 38 Crore in a single day, and still holds the record of the highest single day of 2016, now Dangal is showing all possible chances to break it or go nearer it.

Highest Single Day Collection Bollywood Film of All Time (Top 5)

  1.  Happy New Year – 44.97 cr (first day) Shahrukh Khan
  2. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo –  41.75 cr (first day) Salman Khan

  4. PK – 38.24 cr (third day) Aamir Khan
  5. Sultan –  38.21 cr (fifth day) Salman Khan

Today within 3 days, on Sunday, Dangal is all set to cross the lifetime collection of Fan, Shivaay, Pink, Baaghi, Neerja and Dishoom. And today, on Sunday, it crosses 100 crore benchmark. Dangal is the 6th Bollywood film to collect 100 crore domestically in 3 days of release.

Only 5 Bollywood films have so far crossed the 100 crore mark in 3 days (Dhoom 3, Happy New Year, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Sultan).
