Katrina kaif In With Sidharth

Baar Baar Dekho Movie review

“Baar Baar Dekho” basically a “rom-com” that traces an unusual love story, spans over 30 years. Jai Verma (Sidharth Malhotra), a mathematical genius, finds himself randomly travelling through time, sometimes into the past and sometimes into the future. Unfortunately, “Baar Baar Dekho” turned out neither a science fiction nor a romantic saga.

The movie shows how the relationship of Jai Varma (Siddharth Malhotra) and Diya Varma (Katrina Kaif) gets tested by time. Jai and Diya are contrasting in nature. Whereas Jai is cynic and pessimist, Diya turns out to be vibrant and full of life. The sparkling chemistry between the Siddharth and Katrina is the mainstream of “Baar Baar Dekho.” Other supporting actors like Sarika, Ram
Kapoor, Taaha Shah Badusha, Sayani Gupta and Rohan Joshi
have done justice to their roles, but some may find them as wastes.

From the promos of “Baar Baar Dekho” the audiences might assume it a film of romance, of two hearts but you may simply end up with admiring the background score, cinematography, exotic foreign locations, dialogues, camera works and the “Bang Bang” actress’ abs in “Kala Chasma”.

To be fair, we felt the first half sluggish but to our relief second half turned out well executed. However, with “Baar Baar Dekho” Nitya Mishra doesn’t fail to leave a spell in his first directorial adventure.

Summing up, “Baar Baar Dekho” is worthy watching but not obviously “Baar Baar”, a movie completely made for the class audiences, not for the masses.
